INDUSTRY STANDARD

Techmarkets fibre reinforced cement spacers conform to the Concrete Society Report CS101, "Spacers for Reinforced Concrete" and the requirements of BS8110, Part1, "Structural Use of Concrete" Section 7.3.

QUALITY CONTROL

Techmarkets fibre reinforced cement products are manufactured under Quality Control System in accordance with BS EN ISO 9001:2000.

COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH

The mix used has a minimum compressive strength of 50N/mm2 at 28 days.

LOAD TESTS

The spacers conform to the load test requirements for deflection and for point loading (3Kn load applied through an 8mm diameter bar) as described in the Concrete Society Report CS101, section A.3.(Ref. Weeks Laboratory)

PERMEABILITY AND POROSITY

The results of Water Absorption and Initial Surface Water Absorption (ISAT) tests are in the range normally expected for good quality concrete. (Ref. Harry Stanger Report No. 2861/89/3).

MATERIALS

Cement, Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag, Non Toxic man made Fibre, Additives.

CEMENT

Ordinary Portland Cement, complying to BS 12 is used unless Sulphate Resisting Cement is requested.

FIRE RESISTANCE

The spacers are non-combustible to BS476:Prt 4, 1970.

TOLERANCE

The tolerance on the spacer dimension proving cover is +/- 1mm for cover/height up to 75mm and +/- 2mm for larger cover/heights. (As required by the Concrete Society Report CS101, Section A.2.3.)
