Damproofing and Remedial Fixings
Refurbishment and upgrading of buildings requires a range of specialist, corrosion resistant fixings. Techmarkets have worked with leading system designers to develop a range of fixings for applications securing membranes and linings in general refurbishment and basement construction.
Membrane Fixings
The membrane fixing plug is used in damp proofing applications, to secure the specialist membranes to the base material, usually brickwork and concrete. Manufactured from glass filled polyamide, the fixing gives a high strength, corrosion resistant fixing. Application requires drilling of a 10mm diameter hole through the membrane and in to the solid base material. A central hole in the fixing will accept a woodscrew for securing timber battens for internal lining systems. A separate sealing washer is available
to provide a water tight seal under the fixing head.

Plaster Plugs
Plaster plugs are used for securing lining boards to concrete and brickwork. If required, a sealing washer can be used under the head for a watertight fix. Standard lengths are 50mm and 70mm and an 8mm hole should be drilled into the base material.

Plaster Plug 70mm, packing quantity 500 per box
Multiplug- Universal DPC Blanking Plug
Multiplug has been designed to offer a solution to the problem of sealing holes drilled in bricks and mortar for the installation of DPC chemicals. For this application, holes will be 10mm or 12mm in diameter depending on the DPC system. Multiplug has been designed to offer a colour matched blanking solution for both sizes of hole using a single plug.
Once installed, Multiplug provides a colour matched seal to complete the DPC installation.
Multiplug Colour Grey, packing quantity 1000pcs per bag
Multiplug Colour Terracota, packing quantity 1000pcs per bag
Cob Plugs
Cob Plugs are used to secure membranes and lining boards to poor quality base material. Brickwork and blockwork in particular can become soft and unsuitable for the standard friction fit fasteners. Cob plugs have an expansion pin which provides a secure fixing to poor quality base material.
The standard Cob Plug is 90mm long and requires a 10mm hole to be drilled into the base material.
